About the Scholarship
WeMoney is an Australian‑designed financial‑wellness platform on a mission to empower every person to live their best financial life. To advance this mission and contribute to economic self‑determination for First Nations peoples, WeMoney will award a maximum of three (3) scholarships of AUD $5,000 to students who demonstrate a passion for financial literacy, technology, and community impact. The recipients will also have a lifetime membership and access to a WeMoney Pro account within the app.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
→ Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. If shortlisted, you may be asked to provide either a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent from a recognised organisation or a Commonwealth statutory declaration. We recognise documentation can be hard to access—please contact us if you need support.
→ Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa.
→ Be currently enrolled full‑time or part‑time in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at an Australian university.
→ Present an overall GPA of 3.0/Distinction or evidence of significant community contribution if GPA is lower.

How to Apply
Submit a 1,000 word essay on any of topics in the application form. Our team will evaluate every submission and get back to you with further information if you have been shortlisted. The winner(s) will be selected based on the relevance, quality and profundity of their essay submission.
